  • Physical Agility Test

We use a fire related task evaluation to test our candidates. We have a guidelines set that keep us from testing them during outside temperatures of 45 degrees F and 95 degrees F. Does your department have similar guidelines and what are they when it comes to temperature? I need some feedback and potentially how you came to that conclusion. Thanks.

I am no expert in this but the IAFF endorses the CPAT which has almost the same guidelines. The reason for them is that no matter what test date you take the test you will have the same environmental impact. They also have humidity restrictions too and do not test in the rain. This way here the candidate can't say his test was unfair to another test.
IAFF member, Love this job! Remember the oath!
