It's alright. Mine hangs on the wall in my living room since I only get to wear it once a year now.

Of course though, I am a bit biased.

Does anyone have experience with the Phenix leathers? A fair share of my friends have Sam Houston leathers, but just for the sake of looking at options, I was wondering if anyone had anything good or bad to say about Phenix's leathers.

    Bullard Helmets

MY department HAD been buying the new Bullard UST6 until a couple of months in and we started seeing full depth cracks in the composite shells. We ended up sending better than half of them back to the factory for replacement. NOT buying them now. We have recently bought a new kevlar helmet made by New Zealand I believe. Good luck.

I was looking at the Morning Pride LiteForce Plus, personally. My department issues Phoenix, they're decent helmets, if a bit easily scratched and dinged. We stick with the "modern" style...though I hear a wear-test may be authorized for traditional styles. Can't say as I'm a fan of that, though. Sorry, East Coasters.
