Umm. It isn't that simple and it probably won't cost less.

We used p&w for years. Most of the time the flat rate repair covers what was wrong. Quick turn around too, for us on the east at least.

[QUOTE=bobsnyder]I wouldn't look at this as a plus or a minus, really...

Motorola requires (or so I'm told) its service providers to send units back for a variety of issues nowdays. For some issues they don't actually repair, they just swap out for other remanufactured (or new) units and remanufacture the returned unit later for another swap. It's cheaper and faster than the old one-at-a-time bench repair method.[/QUOT

The majority of the the time Motorola will swap out the guts, in all of the pagers that have been sent in this year from us this is what happens, and it is always about $114.00, may be cheaper for Motorola, but not for us.

Call Midland Telecomm @ 1-888-669-1931. Ask for Jim.

They are the best service that I have found. He will fix what he can, and what he can't, he will send to Motorola directly, and handle all of the billing and communication between them for you.

bjlffire I think you are from NE Mo. if I remember right. We have used A&W Communications at Eolia Mo. and had great luck with them.

Well, we are not letting them go.
Our dept has not had the issue most have had with the 3 and 4's.

I need 3 new cases, reprogram with new channel and just an overall tune up.

The shop we bought them from is no longer there.

    Thanks anyway

Toss them in the trash and buy Minitor V's...It'll save on repair bills from fixing the SAME THING over and over again on the III/IV's

We used our local shop that sold them to us. If it's not a simple repair like re-casing, or changing out a knob or two, it gets sent out.

Contact whoever they were purchased from.
