Does anyone know if it is possible to remove the ratchet system from the newer Sam Houston's? I know that they used to be made without them and mine drives me nuts.

Anything is removable, weither or not it works afterwards is a different story.....Just know, I chose my own fate. I drove by the fork in the road and went straight.
