Grand Junction Colorado

I know this would be good for the colorado section, but it didnt seem that is a very active area....

Does anyone know the pay ranges and how the EMS system works in Grand Junction Colorado?

I looking to attend a local academy here to get my Fire certs. I am looking to maybe move back to Grand Junction after a few years - if anyone knows how certs transfer between Arizona and Colorado that would be great also!

I;m in the Denver area, so a bit aways from GJ, but i can tell you what i know--

I know GJ just did a hiring earlier this year so i dont know when to expect another. Im not too sure about the pay but on average 33k-42k is normal in CO as a FF/EMT-B. As for the EMS system, im pretty sure the fire department runs a few ambulances and also contracts with AMR...as for certifications, contact the Colorado Division of Fire Safety for Firefighter certs and the Colorado Department of Public Health for EMT....hope this helps at least a bit, and hope it was accurate enough....good luck

If I do move it wouldnt be until then or later. I plan to get in the academy here in October of 2006. I would like get a couple of yers under my belt prior to moving.
