with Ernesto closing in on our gulf coast, anyone other than our EOC dept. preparing for it? We have our SAR meeting this afternoon to determine what all we are going to do.

well, its a good thing it isnt goin towards yall. id much rather have it hit hear than have it go and **** up yall again. Yall have had it way to many times in the past year. I think we are ready for it, as long as it doesnt climb past catogory3 status, 'cuz then we would be in for a world of hurt. Shoot, ft myers and port charlotte still have people living in the hurricane relief single wide trailers!! those people sure as hell arnt ready for another.

                    NOAA Info and Forcast info.

                    NOTE TO ALL!

The best forcast as far as incoming weather data in regards to Hurricane Ernesto will be posted online every three hours or so. The most accurate data for forcasting is every two hours. In other words.....the projected path as of right now will change multiple times before landfall and before ANY evacuations are considered. I hope this helps....

Also the National Hurricane Center web site is: http://www.srh.noaa.gov

Well I have to say with where I am, when one starts forming we start getting nervous. We haven't had a direct hit since 1979, so yeah we go ahead and start making sure everything is in place and ready. Since we are right on top of Fla, we always get whats left, but still get some pretty high winds, and tornados. Ga does now have a new GSAR group. These guys have busted their butts getting ready since Katrina. They are ready to roll where ever they are needed in the Southeast. The second group finishes up their classes tomorrow.

Goodluck Bro..keep safe..they said it may grow into a CAT.3 Storm by thursday and may just hit the same area Katrina did !
Florida already issued a state of emergency i heard or atleast the Keys did.
I'm not sure on the Levy's in New Orleans are prepared to handle another storm.
But i send my best wishes bro !

Don't count on it dying anytime soon. As soon as it hits that warm water in the Gulf, it will get stronger. Good luck to you guys. Makes me glad I live way up nort'! (jack pine savages)
