AM i SCREWED FOR FDNY TEST?

Hey, i'm 17 years old and recieved the application for the FDNY test.
It says you can be 17 1/2 years old in order to take the test...and my problem is....that the application period ends on the 13th of Oct.
When the application period ends...you have to be 17 1/2 before the 13th of OCT.

I will be 17 1/2 on OCT. 26th.....Am i still able to take the FDNY test?
I mean, the examine is given in January of 07...and this is my dream job...i really , really want to be a Firefighter...and i want to take the test !!

It sounds like you are pretty muched screwed the best thing to do is call hq and see if they will still let you test good luck hope it works out!

Sorry, but a cut off date is a cut off date.

Your only hope is for an extended filing period.

Don't worry about it, if you can't take the test this time around, go to college, go in the military, do something that will help you out in the long run and take it again. By the time you're done 4 years in college or 4 in the military the test will be coming around again and you'll be set up just fine for it.
