Ok...for my entire life, I had difficult inhaling through my nose. But, during fire operations and wearing a SCBA, it never seemed to be a problem. (I dont usually suck down bottles)
So, I finally asked my personal Doctor about fixing this. He referred me to an Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist. After two visits, the Surgeon cauterized the interior of my nose. A simple outpatient visit that took less than 45 minutes.
After less than a week, I can breath so much easier. I havent tried this out with the SCBA yet, but it should work well.
I am going to take some ribbing for this, but need to share because I wish someone would have told me about this long ago. It made a major difference and for someone who uses a SCBA for work. (all of us)
