Keith was a great man, he did so much for the families of his brothers after 9/11. He will be sorely missed. This is a great cause, please brothers do what you can to help.

Terrible that Keith got to enjoy less than 2 years of retirement from the FDNY. It's great to see his FDNY and SFD brothers stepping up to help his wife and kids, who really need the support.

          Jesus...
Another YOUNG MAN taken years before his time, there is a worrying trend here, another Guy involved in 9/11 who has died not long after retiring. Certainly not the first and I can't help draw comparisons to my much missed friend Richie Smith fom FDNY Hazmat1, who died aged 50 in 2004.

          Rest in Peace Bruv.

Keith worked the rubble pile at Ground Zero for weeks searching for his 15 brothers from E54/L4. Some of us who knew him have wondered whether there is a correlation. His family is not pursuing that avenue though...so the fundraising efforts are vital. As the poster above mentioned, if you can make it to the fundraiser please come...if you can't, please consider visiting the site and making a donation in the "How to Help" section. Everything (100%) taken in is going to address the family's financial situation.

Just want to give credit where credit is due to some major corporations who have stepped up to help the Kern family -- please keep it in mind when deciding where to spend your bucks

Benjamin Moore generously donated all primer and paint for the interior of the home (we applied the paint)

GE generously gave a 60% discount off list price for all appliances in the home

Nathan's Famous (do they have Nathan's outside of NY?) has donated 1,000 hot dogs for the benefit

Thanks to all who have contributed, for your generosity
