Just heard on the evening news...I think it was in Lowell, MA. No links up yet at Channel 5 or Goggle News...
Trinity Ambulance service was called to the hospital to perform a transport.
And the ambulance was stolen from the parking lot.
Which isn't unusual since stolen ambulances happen from time to time...
The big difference is the call for the transport was a hoax. The working assumption is the thief is the one who called it in.
A couple hours earlier if I heard the story right (or later?) another Trinity Ambulance had been called to another hospital for another hoax transport. That hospital had a mandatory turn-off-your-ambulance policy and the crew had taken the key with them...so the suspicion is that call was another theft attempt.
