Okay, strange topic, but a refreshing change from the arguments going on in a few others.
Personally, I am a classic rock person, although I do tend to throw people with some new age and instrumentals occasionally.
Something maybe a bit more interesting is what one listens to enroute to a call, if at all. In my early years in the volunteer service, we made sure we had stereo systems in the engines, and we'd crank something good on the way to a call. Not a great practice, but it was fun. We even piped it through to the guys in the open cabs (we still have one of these rigs).
I spend a lot more time on the medic now, and we occasionally find something good on the radio to crank enroute to the call. Just gets the adrenalin flowing at 3 am. Not that I condone this practice, but since I can't do caffeine anymore....

I'm fairly open minded about it...I'll listen to anything...but Classic Rock and Alternative are the two I mainly listen to. I can't stand modern country music...but I love the stuff from the 70's and early 80's.

My car radio is pre set to 3 alternative, 3 mix/light rock, 2 classic rock, 1 country and 1 70's R&B & disco stations. I also sometimes listen to jazz, blues and classical. As far as going on calls with music, it always gets turned down or off so we can hear communications and each other. Interesting topic. Take care and be safe.

Good. Right now I'm listening to Keiko Matsui's "Full Moon and the Shrine". I like to keep everybody guessin' at what kind of mood I'm in. Mostly, though, I will listen to classic rock. I do like to R&R boogie!
          Peace, TROLL

ALTHOUGH I AM NOT AN OLD FART (26 YRS.) I TOO LIKE THE CLASSICS.
            HENDRIX,ZEPPLIN,FOGHAT,PRIESTS AND MOST IMPORTANTLY,
THE HOTTEST BAD IN THE WORLD KISS!

BUT I DO ENJOY THE REAL HEAVY METAL STUFF!
DON'T LIKE RAP, OR THE NEW RAP-ROCK STUFF. I THINK IT'S A WASTE OF AIR TIME AND PLASTIC

                Tim,
I think you've got a good one going here! Flames...I agree that KISS is the hottest band in the world. I've been lucky enough to see them 9 times...4 times in makeup. I gew up a metal head, but now that I'm older (27, also not yet an old fart), I've noticed my taste in music has changed considerably. I do like rock, metal, some rap, some hip-hop, can tolerate some country and classical...but please...I draw the line at polkas. LOL

I am a huge fan of the guitar, so anything with a killer guitar in it, i like. Needless to say, Clapton, Hendrix, and Steve Ray Vaughn are my favorites. I also like Metallica, not metal in general, just Metallica. My favorite style of music has to be either classic rock or the blues. Right now, I'm listening to Ted Nugent's Stranglehold....killer song.

Well, THE BOSS comes to mind...nothing beats Bruce's "I'm On Fire" or his personal tribute to my hometown with the song "Youngstown". Dylan, Springsteen, REM, Dave Matthews Band and U2 have to be my top five right now. So put me down for classic rock I suppose.

I listen to pretty much anything, except rap. It hurts my ears. I am not an old fart (25). I Just recently started listening to Country. Mostly alternative, Swing, Blues, Jazz, and some big band. You might say I have an eclectic taste in music.
