I was browsing through CT's General Statutes and found the following excerpt in the 1997 Public Acts. Unfortunately, the entire PA was VETOED!!!:
Sec. 33. (a) There is established a task force to study the hazards of truss construction as it relates to fire fighters and emergency personnel and report on methods to identify buildings incorporating truss style construction. The task force study shall include, but not be limited to, (1) the incidence of injury to fire fighters and emergency personnel caused by fires in structures incorporating truss construction, (2) an examination of laws in other states, and (3) the feasibility of placing placards or other devices on structures incorporating truss style construction to alert fire fighters or emergency personnel to potential hazards.
