New York school bus fire

Has anyone watched the video of the New York school bus fire ? This link is from FH.com's main page. A news copter happened to catch the attack on camera. Check out the fireworks show at end of the clip. Am I wrong or doesn't that look like magnesium coming in contact with water? Does anyone know if it is commonly used in school buses?

Also, if you aren't using SCBA on car fires, that clip outta fix you.

Yep, that looked like magnesium, alright. Looked like it was right around the steering column; just where I found it on a blazing 2002 Mustang convertable one night.
