Father's Day hero joined in death by son
Michael Downing, age 5, passed away last Monday after a battle with cancer, which had been diagnosed about a year after his father, FDNY's John Downing, died in the Father's Day tragedy that also took Brian Fahey and Harry Ford.
This is so tragic for John's widow, Anne, and their daughter, Joanne, but what a sweet reunion for father and son. God bless this family as they deal with the bittersweet emotions of a mother losing her son so that his father can get him back.
