  • Dispute Between Cincinnati FD Chaplain & Chief

    http://www.wcpo.com/news/2003/local/..._response.html

This is sad. From what I've heard and read on the Cincy FD's unofficial message board, the front line members of the department are very upset by this action.

No Progress On Chaplain Fired By Chief

A face-to-face meeting between Cincinnati's fire chief and the unpaid chaplain he fired failed to resolve the problem.

As a friend of Father Mike, I am proud of him for standing strong and refusing to take back or apologize for his statements. Mike never says anything he doesn't mean, and he never wavers. When you are under His Command, you will not know fear. Amen Father Mike.

Seems he got his job back...
          Fire service survival tips:
          1) Cook at 350...
          2) Pump at 150...
          3) When in doubt, isolate and deny entry...
          4) When in trouble, claim lack of adult supervision.

            FD Chaplain Reinstated

Yes, the chaplain has been reinstated. However, the chief has still attempted to be punitive. From what's posted on the membership's web site, they are still very disenchanted with the chief.
