  • FireACT funding for 2003

If someone could be so kind as to tell me how much money was allocated for this years act I would appreciate it. Partly its laziness on my part, and partly my sucky search skills on search engines and couldn't find a hard number on the FEMA website. Thanks!!

You ARE lazy...there should be a few articles on the topic on this site...If I'm not mistaken, the entire program was approved by Congress to be moved under the supervision of DHS (Dept Homeland Security). The peer-review style of the awards will stay, the program's main goal will still be to provide for FD's basic firefighting needs and I believe they agreed upon $750 million dollars in awards.

Pride, I did say that didn't I? Thanks for the $750 info, but that is what is going to be asked for next year. I searched the USFA site and couldn't find 2003's numbers but found 01 and 02's.

FireLt thanks for the site brother.
