Journeyman Plumber with a question?!?
I just have a quick question and I thought that I would ask the experts! Just what is the typical daily routine for a firefighter/EMT in a large, municipal department?

Putting out fire caused by careless sweating jobs.
Sifting through collapses caused by joists being notched and not drilled.
Cutting electric to flooded light fixtures.
Other than that, we don't do much.

I know you are a hard working guy with a legitament question.
Apparatus checkouts- equipments and mechanical checks
Station duties- clean bathrooms, station
Run medical calls, fire calls and other various 911 responses
Training- we have to currently keep up with the changing times
Cooking and grocery shopping
Exercise- we exercise about two hours a day when we can.
Public education programs
station tours
Building inspections of your district or area
