I have just published a new book about LODD. "SURVIVING A HERO; A Therapist looks at Family Loss" is part memoir, part suggestion manual. As the adult child of a FDNY member who died in the line of duty, as well as a psychologist, the work uses my family story as case study, and goes on to offer help to any one that has ever had to deal with a loss of a loved one in the uniformed services.
