POST....A firetruck and a police Emergency Service Unit vehicle collided in Queens yesterday, injuring seven, authorities said.
The accident occurred at the corner of 111th Avenue and Merrick Boulevard in South Jamaica shortly after 6 p.m.
Five firefighters from Ladder Co. 133 and two cops from ESU Truck 9 were taken to Mary Immaculate Hospital with minor injuries.
The trucks were responding to separate calls and both had lights and sirens on, authorities said.

The two large trucks, both with lights flashing and sirens wailing, crashed into each other at the intersection of Merrick Blvd. and 111th Ave. in Jamaica at 6:05 p.m., police said.
The police Emergency Service Unit truck was racing to a suicidal person threatening to jump when it turned onto 111th St. and hit the fire truck, which was speeding the other way to an alarm, officials said.
The injured were taken to Mary Immaculate Hospital with neck and back injuries.
