Outer Shell Material Needed

I am trying to track down where I might be able to buy, in bulk, the material used for bunker gear outer shells. My department ordered a bunch of gear several years ago, and had custom pouches made out of the PBI/Kevlar shell material, for our SCBA facepieces. I have spoken to my usual list of salespeople about having them make more of these pouches, and they're all willing to do it at about $40-50 per bag. That seems a little outrageous to me. I am fairly confident that if I could get my hands on some of that material, anyone with a sewing machine would be able to whip up the pouch a lot less expensively.

Does anyone out there know where I could buy that type of fabric, so that I can make the bags myself? I've tried the internet with no success.
