It is truly sad that it takes "an act of congress (legislature in this case) to tell firefighters and training officers alike that putting human beings, (i.e. firefighters) into burning buildings to act as a "victim" is against the law. DUH!!![B] As if it takes a genius to figure out that it is not safe??? I think its time that we take a hard look at who is training our firefighters. Are they qualified instructors? Are they experienced firefighters? Are they teaching firefighters to perform a task that they themselves have not / would not do? This is truly a HUGE problem. If it is hard for myself (A Fire Service instructor II, among other things) to keep tabs on my firefighters how do others do it???

No, a genius is not required (and none were present).
No, no qualified instructors.
No, not experienced fire fighters.
Yes, there were 2 victims, 1 made it out.
It is entirely a shame that this law ever had to be created, but I will support it."This thread is being closed as it is off-topic and not related to the fire industry." - Isn't that what the Off Duty forum was for?
