    if I could convince my Chief to go leather, it would have been a done deal !
    Yeah, but are they practical?
    I notived that my face wasnt on any of the pictures on the internet !!!

    you know Art .......I was considering retiring the helmet for posterity and if I could convince my Chief to go leather, it would have been a done deal ! now about those clubs .........i am not sure I could do them and the little white ball any justice, plus I notived that my face wasnt on any of the pictures on the internet !!! LMAO !!!!!!! hope to see you all again soon !

    Sounds like you should have turned the old helmet in on insurance and bought a new one. Old helmets make great lampshades and bird feeders.
    Next time, just buy a whole new helmet. And while you're at it, get some golf clubs. Chiefs like to play golf. Lots of golf.

    well the doo-hickey arrived and it was a strong 5 on the 10 scale as the directions were as clear as mud ..............if anyone else needs help with the same let me know .......thanks Josh

    skull cap is staying ...............just the ratchet and headliner thing ....the brown pseudo cloth whatchacallit .........

    Very easy

    If you are replacing the whole assembly with the skull cap its very simple. You must first unscrew the pieces that hold the helmet shield,than you can pull the whole assembly out. Clean the inside cap and place the new velcro two sided tape back in place (make sure you line up the notches) and put the skull cap back in place,replace the screws on the shield and your done. I have done this many times, it takes about 10 minutes.

    anyone know about on a 1-10 scale the difficulty of replacing a 1010 rachet/liner assembly ? I have one ordered after my failed attempt to clean the one that was the original with the helmet..........thanks in advance for all your help.
