  • Incident at a FDNY Station????????

I was driving with some friends in New York City this past week and we passed one of the stations and it looked kind of like there was a fire there or something. Ladder 8 was parked sitting out in front of it. They had Fire Line tape strung up out around it also. It looked like there were some smoke stains coming out from the doorway. I took a picture, but the smoke stains never showed up. I will try to re-size it and post it on here, maybe someone will know which station it is............ E229LT....... maybe you can help.......

Not sure which borough or what street it was on. I believe it was just off of the main drag, heading North through Times Square, but it was closer towards the WTC site.

I remember reading not to long ago in the paper that some firehouses have a rodent problem. It mentioned there are exterminators visiting at least 50 firehouses throughout the city, that the UFA claims have been plagued by mice, rats or both. Could this be related?????? Just an idea.

We weren't too sure what the deal was either. I was hoping one of our brothers/sisters from FDNY could help us out........

I've checked and re-checked....there is nothing on the AP wires, Reuters....or any independent reports regarding this station.

Sorry....it's apparently nothing to write home about...

            Ladder 8

Wasn't Ladder 8 the station that Ghost Busters was filmed at? Perhaps they were cleaning out the place after they got slimed!

That's the way I would look at these things...

                Admit nothing
                Deny everything
                Demand proof

If you don't know, it probably wasn't any of your business in the first place.

(Yes, as shocking as this is, E229 and I apparently agree).

George, there is one more thing you forgot to mention:

                      4. Make a counter-accusation
