    When to close a thread!?!?

    Just my personal opinion!!!

    If you start a thread, you do so (I assume?) to recieve feedback or answers to a question.

    So.... if some yah7hoo wants to give you good advice about: how STUPID your dept. is, how stupid your Chief is, how stupid your s.o.p.'s are, rig specs, staffing, funding, YOU in general, etc...... OR just plain fight with you!
    JUST CLOSE THE THREAD!!!! and walk away!

    I know it's hard to walk away from a fight!
    As a matter of fact.....I am quite possibly the last guy that should be telling anyone to walk away from a fight (I never do)!

    But, it would appear that some people just can't take a whoppin' these days (I came to this stark realization one day in the vicinity of a pistol....important life lesson #357), it's just a sign of the times I guess! Everybody wants to go to the big guns right away......and aim "below the belt"!?!?!?!?!

    ...Be the "bigger" person......turn the other cheek.

    Just my opinion.

      Good call. It does get old being flamed for your opinions or moral convictions. Differences of opinions shouldn't lead to threats or some of the other s*** that gets flung around in these forums.

          i tried closing a thread I started and it said only administrators could close them.

          maybe that could be looked into when the whole forum gets revamped!

          That would be a gr8eat (oops) idea!

                I think the person who starts it should be able to close or end it.

                What good are the forums anyway when you can't speak your piece? I made a post commenting on someone else's original message and I was blasted by the WEBTEAM for commenting. I was speaking facts and apparently struck someone's nerve. True I am a sales consultant but I was repeating information I had seen first hand and after investigation by contacting UL regards to the testing.

                The person who starts the thread runs the risk of receiving negative comments and as long as they are no lewd, profane racially motivated or sexually innapropriate the WEBTEAM should leave them alone. I went back and deleted my post on the thread so they would not harass me.
