The word "routine" should be stricken from the vocabulary of every public safety responder. It breeds complacency and causes people to get hurt.

When is an MVA not an MVA?

When it's a domestic-dispute-turned-attempted-homicide-hit-and-run-and-a-rolling-meth-lab-MVA involving three vehicles spread over 3 city blocks!

Not my call, actually, since I'm temporarily assigned to another station, but my regular crew got the call for the MVA. Boy did turn out to be more than was advertised.
