If I had a vote (which I don't), I'd vote for FDNY Ladder Co. 10.
This company was first-due truck at the Trade Center.
Since September 11th, Ladder 10 has apparently be given the "royal run-around" by the brass. Such as: their apparatus (which was destroyed) has not been replaced, they lost their home, the crew has been allowed to dwindle. Indeed, it's a sad story (at least that's what I have read on other web-sites).
All who responded that day gave far beyond the call of duty. Those companies who responded have been all returned to service except for Ladder 10.
It's just my opinion, but these guys need a "shot in the arm"
That's a classy rig and a fitting one for the FDNY!
"The education of a firefighter and the continued education of a firefighter is what makes "real" firefighters. Continuous skill development is the core of progressive firefighting. We learn by doing and doing it again and again, both on the training ground and the fireground."
Lt. Ray McCormack, FDNY
Gee, the only thing that could make it better is if they put a black and Hispanic firefighter on the side...

The opinions expressed are mine and mine alone (but you can borrow them )and may not reflect those of any organization with which I am associated (but then again, they just may not be thinking clearly).
That is the BEST looking rig I believe I've ever seen ! It is definitely a fitting tribute to those who gave their all to save others ! I'm sure the Brothers will be very proud to have a rig as Impressive as this one is !

Some day, in years to come, you will be wrestling with the great temptation, or trembling under the great sorrow of your life. But the real struggle is here, now, in these quiet weeks. Now it is being decided whether, in the day of your supreme sorrow or temptation, you shall miserably fail or gloriously conquer. Character cannot be made except by a steady, long continued process.
- Phillips Brooks
WOW, that is awesome. FDNY definitely deserves a rig like that.
