    I've got a guestion.
How should you fight a computer fire? I've heard halon extingusihers work great but wanted to know what the rest of you think.

Well I heard if you do that there is a less of a chance in saving what wasn't affect by the fire because the chemicals in the extingusher are hard on the computer curcuits

frist of all i did not know that thay had a halon extingusiher. I know we dont carry them on are trucks. we have a,b,c and a few d's
but i did not know thay had a halon extingusiher is that a class H .

But if a Computer is on fire the fire is going to waste the Computer
so i would not worry about useing the abc. becouse the computer is gone. heat will kill a computer faster then a abc extingusiher will.
and if you use halon be sure to have a Air pack on for that Halon is
thinker then air and will kill you

sorry but a D isn't a halon, a D is for metal fires only, and halons "could" be use for almost anytype of fire.

I did a report for school on extuigsher and that is why I know a little about them.

you know class D may be a dry form of halon--- thank about it for a sec ABC dose not put out metil fire and halon would. @nd of all i would not use halon on all fire cost to much and is not a vary safe tool to use the gas form . but just use ABC or cut the power and use water

I just looked in my essentials book and it says that they are "intended primarily for use on Class B and Class C fires"(pg 129) so I'm not sure where that puts them.
