This probably been asked before but, what does your department use for command units? WSFD uses SUV's, currently 2 Chevy Tahoes and 1 Ford Explorer.

Ol' Ronnie B. has a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer as his Command vehicle (LOL, I call it a command vehicle lightly) And a Full-time Driver who is a Civilian Employee of the FEMSD and a Volunteer at Company 5.
I think this Unmarked Chevy Trailblazer is a huge Waste of Taxpayer Dollars...Why can't he have a Marked Expidition that says "Chief of Department" on the side of it???? Just a thought!Proud Right-Wing Extremist since 1992

The "Old Man" currently drives a 1997 Ford Crown Vic. We should be recieving his New 03 Ford Expedition anytime. We also use a 96 Ford E350 MiniMod ambulance for command and control.AKA: Mr. Whoo-Whoo

Our chief usually drives his POV but our rescue van has been given that "honor" everynow and then.
We are looking at getting one of these if we get our Fire Act grant.

Chiefs use their POV. One of our service vehicles sometimes gets turned into a command post. We're looking into getting an SUV to replace our van. The SUV would then be the duty officer vehicle / command post.
