It was a cook off, firefighters from around the country came to cook and they win a prize for them selves and there house. I belive it was a regular jake from Providence RI that won with shrimp scampi.

                Breakfast!!

                Here's the menu......

Fry up 1 lb Bacon and 1lb Sausage links.

                Fry 2 lbs hashed potatos.

Mix 8 eggs with 1 cup milk.

Set an extra 4 eggs on the counter.

Dip 24 slices of bread into egg/milk mix and Fry.

Results - French toast breakfast for 6 people. Enjoy!

Some well spiced turkey burgers are gaining popularity at my station. They're a nice healthy alternative to beef (which simply means we eat more of them)

Almost anything as long as someone else is cooking. I do like to fix oyster stew when it's cold weather. Yesterday I made Shrimp Gumbo and that turned out pretty good.

Where is Cheffie when we need her?

When choosing food we like to get things that take well to re-heating. There is nothing worse than to get half way done cooking a nice dinner when you get a two-hour long call and come back to inedible crap. We like stuff that we can just start right back up cooking when we get back. One-pot meals are also favorites with the clean up crew.

Our meals are usually delivered to us in the field. While most times, it consists of sandwiches, or pizza... and a beverage....what I'd really like is a hot, homecooked meal...from none other than our world reknown superchef......that delightful, elusive scoundrel from the Bay area.

Delivered in person.....of course! Feel like taking a hike cheffie?
