POOR start to the New Year

My wife, friends and myself had a GREAT New Years Eve and I thought this is a great start for the New Year.

Then, I started reading the news on FH and saw that 2 days into the year, we have already seen at least 28 fire deaths in 4 states. They all appear to have been avoidable from what I've read.

Didn't see mention in any of the articles about detectors, I guess some people and Govt Officials will never learn.

I now what you mean Res7ue, Louisiana had eight people die in one fire that was in the news here at fh.com which was in Laffyette, but we also had another fatal fire in Lafourch(pronounced Lafoushe)parish in which three people died. So for Louisiana we have not had a good start to the New Year at all. The worst part about it was that the fires weren't that far apart.
