  • Scene From The Bravest..??

Ok, I have a question, may be stupid but ohwell here it goes... I noticed on the latest episode when they are in San Francisco and they had a working fire. How come they didnt wear bunker pants? Even the Interior guys didnt have bunkers on?? Are those pants specially made? I mean even some of the guys who were on the roof venting near the flames didnt have bunker pants on.. Just curious as to why they do this.. let me know.. thanks

    Why?.......Because they can!

No really, apparently they are wool pants. Wery unlike a West Coast Department, which is why they are called the Toughest East Coast Firefighters on the West Coast!

Right now we have the option of wearing bunker pants or not. In a very short time we are going to be required to wear them. It has nothing to do with being "tough". It is much more comfortable and mobile, but offers less protection. It really is no big deal. It is just different. Happy holidays!!

I believe it is still at the discretion of the individual FF...but I'll let one of the Boston guys give the definitive answer...
