need help on sog's (sop's)

new captain needs help! i have been a line officer for 23 days now , and my first real duty is to over see the sop commt. (first order should be to change it to sog commt.) we have no sop's and we need to start the process(neither does any f.d. around us have sop). we are a rural dept. 2 eng., 2 mini-pumpers, 1 brush truck, 1 equip truck., and 1 2000 gallon tanker. 25 members all volly. does anyone have sop's (sog's) they could e-mail me. also we are in the process of starting bls first response, we have 3 emt-b's, 3 emt-fr's.does anyone have a sop on that? i know some dept's sop (sog) manual is 4 pages while others is 400 pages, i have fast seen this is going to be no small undertaking. thanks for the help in advance

As you read these scroll to the top of the page and click on training. Many departments have their SOP's posted on line. We don't have any available to e-mail but I can fax some if you should desire.

You can take most of the BS paperwork off of the SOP's on the website. After that, you have to adjust those SOP's to fit your department. The major issue is gonna be truck work. Who, and what does truck work in your department?

what website are u talking about? the ic whom ever that is at the call assigns the positions as the personel arrive, but it is normal the same guys. as for as truck equipment it's pretty low tech just the basic assortment of ground ladders, forc entery tools, just the basics
