This post is to announce the formation of a very special new ministry. The Fellowship of Christian Public Safety Professionals is designed to help meet the spiritual and fellowship needs of people working in the public safety field. Our group is designed to bring together people from fire, ems, law enforcement, and dispatch who seek to make new friends, strengthen current friendships, and grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. This organization has been in existence since May of 2001, but in the light of the events of September 11th, now more than ever, it is important that we draw close together, love and support each other, and try to do something to serve our Lord through our work.
The website is up and running at We are based in Atlanta, Georgia and our goal, on a local basis, depending upon response, is to begin having meetings once a month at various locations around Atlanta to accomodate people from all over the metro area. We hope to have our first meeting somewhere in the window of early 2002. On a national basis, chapters are springing up in other locations, and they can use the website for promotional purposes and for a more widespread fellowship. The website is still a work in progress and will be tailored according to your input, so please write back and tell us what you think.
Full details on our goals and what we envision for the meetings can be found at the website. The content of the website changes on almost a daily basis, so please come back to it often. May God bless each one of us and keep us safe out there. For more
