NFPA1971(2000Edition)/eye protection/

does anyone know the eye protection specifics in
NFPA1971. we are buying new helmets and they are saying that we can no longer buy them with shields we have to get goggles. from the few people in my department that have the goggles, i think they are useless, noone uses them at all the just sit on top of their helmets.
