  • Memorial?

As it has been stated by the families they are not ready for a Memorial. Please refer to E229lt's post dated 11-11-2001 and all Eng40FDNYL35 post of letters from the families they are asking for their loved ones to be brought home. That is the first and for most thing I think we should concern about. I know I would not tolerate it if this happened in my Dept. for anyone to be holding a Memorial for Firefighter's lost that I have not brought home to their families first!!!

I believe the Memorial will be held when the time is right and hope that I will be able to attend.

Maybe the FDNY Brother's disagree with me, and I will respect them if they do. After all they are they are the ones that are close to the families of our lost Brother's and the Firefighter's that have been directly affected by this horrific incident.

Remember there are Firefighter's FALLEN BROTHER'S still buried in the WTC!

    Enough said.

GOD Bless FDNY and all of the lost Brother's

More and more it looks to me like November 18th was shoved down there throats to suit somebody else's agenda. It makes me shudder to think that if this happened to my department that someone would be so "self-absorbed" as to ignore the wishes of our families and surviving fire fighters in order to advance some other agenda.

When the last man is carried out and laid in the decent grave he deserves THEN we should talk to the families and FDNY fire fighters about whether or not they are ready for a Memorial.
