    Said it before, will say it again, I will not comment on what Von Yessen was like as a FireFighter. Did not work with him to say he was a great or p___-poor FireFighter.

    What I will say? I think the Fire Dept would have been better served to dig up the corpse of Maj Gen Fitz-John Porter, the Depts first commish, and put him behind the desk.

    Chances are though, he woulda stood up to Rudy, as dead as he is, and tried to help and improve life for his FireFighters, not make a profit off them.

    I know of an entire city council full of mutts. Used to be the romance capital, by now I think the firefighters are quickly becoming experts at doing everything with nothing. They are already at minimum staffing and more layoffs on the horizon.

    I support local 714 and local 3359.
