Does anyone remember seeing anything about a pressurized water cannon, was supposed to be used on car fires, to blow a mist of pressurized water at the fire and put it out?

    The IFEX system from ROM:

They no longer have a pic on their website...I saw one before that was built up on Hummer chassis!

Essentially, super-efficient fire extinguishers. But I'd still rather have an 1.5" line in my hands and a couple hundred gallons in the tank!

Our department received one from the Army for evaluation. Don't waste your money. Although they were fun to launch various objects with.

We got one on our 1998 engine. Since then I have been one one call where we used it it worked really well four, shots on a car engine fire totaling about 1 gallon of water. But it is still not worth the thousands we paid for it. You should have seen the cops jump for cover when we shot the thing at the fire... may-be it was worth the money
