Again, I am holding off pinning down the times. The IAFF and this site as well as most papers are now posting information about the memorial. If you all look closely, you will see several different starting times ranging from 0900 to 1400.
Over the past month and a half, this has been the norm in NYC. Things get planned and changed on a regular basis. This is not due to mismanagement but due to the needs of many families and possible conflicts in time.
My best advice is, try to arrive and stay over the night before. If you are making plans to fly in the morning of the Memorial, better take the "RED EYE"
My opinion only: A 0900 start would place most of us at shift change and not allow the night crew time to assemble. Again, MY OPINION ONLY. The November 18 date looks pretty solid now but do not crave the time in stone just yet.
