Just got back from a run and I have to share my experience.
Dispatched to a car in the river (Mississippi) 4 miles north of town. Since it is duck season here in Illinois, I figured it was a hunter running late and having difficulties remembering to put his
vehicle in park before he got out to push the boat off the trailer.
Once on-scene, we discovered a $40,000 Caddy,
with only the deck lid visable, about 40 feet from the bank. We go through the usual routine of searching for victims, etc.
To make a long story short.....about the time we get the car pulled up onto the launch ramp, a duck hunter steps up and asks if anyone was in the car??.....and then goes on to state..."I SAW THE CAR THERE ABOUT 90 MINUTES AGO WHEN I WAS LEAVING THE DOCK TO GO HUNTING"
Obviously he wasn't too concerned about the possibility of people being in the car 90 minutes earlier!!!!!!!
HERE'S YOUR SIGN!!!!!
