During Operation Desert Storm in '90-'91, I served with an activated Marine Reserve captain at Camp Pendleton, CA. His name is Tony Lombardo. He was on a leave of absence from an FDNY engine company in Brooklyn. I have verifed that Tony is still a member of the Marine reserves in Brooklyn. Can anyone tell me if Tony is still a firefighter? Though we haven't spoken in 10 years, Tony exemplifed everything that's good about the Marine Corps and the FDNY...he's a great American. In light of this week's tragedy, I have found myself reflecting on this fine man. As I read about the heroics of the FDNY in lower Manhattan, I think of guys like Tony. Please give me any informantion you have.
God bless,
