  • LODD: Stamford, CT. **(Just One)**

I hope we never see a topic like I have just posted. Let's never let the 9-11 incident cause us to become apathetic and accept one LODD as acceptable or minor. Let's remain focused and treat every fallen brother/sister with honor and respect.

"Stamford (CT) Fire Fighters Local 786 regrets to announce the passing of
Fire Fighter William T. Miller who passed away on Wednesday evening (9/19)
as a result of injuries sustained as a Fire Fighter with the City of
    Stamford Fire and Rescue Department."

    Another good one Loo.

Same for the 78 y.o. brother we just lost - see other thread.

      Grit,

I tried to include him, but couldn't find a name in any of the reports.

Lt...a good thought. The only acceptable number is zero. Condolences to the families of these two fine men. May time not dim the glory of their supreme sacrifice.

In a time where we are mourning a large number of our Brothers, it's easy to see how a single LODD can get missed. Thank you for posting this, E229LT.

I see on the main firehouse website that 2 more brothers in New York State were also LODD.

How about this as a new slogan: "9-11-01..FDNY...Our Brothers and Sisters..Gone and Never Forgotten....0 Tolerance!"

            Be safe.....
