I used to have 5 stars, after a post in the career forum I now have 4. Is this because someone didn't like my post?

What purpose does this system serve?

I don't give a sh*t about the ratings system. It's stupid, serves no rational purpose here...AND I hope I DO lose all my stars...Hell, I lost my marbles a long time ago.

I could care less as well. But there does seem to be a direct correlation to hurting some of the more sensitive feelings among us and a drop in the stars.

I don't feel that the rating system serves much of a purpose. I know who I like and dislike. If I REALLY wanted some stars, I'd just create an alter ego and vote for myself over and over and over.

Then I'd start a topic about lights on my POV, and create ANOTHER alter ego to support/bash myself with. Then maybe I could get a topic to go past two pages.

I haven't rated any members, and I don't plan to, but if I was forced to do it I would need to know if the "Star Test" is the same for both male and female firefighters.

I think it only takes 15 posts to become a veteran. They should change the system. You become a veteran by opening your yap enough times - it should involve an intelligence factor somewhere

Nah...they should change it that you only become a veteran after you **** off enough people or you get censored by the webteam.
