  • Hose deployment prop

A couple of guys built this prop so that we can train on deploying hose off of the crosslays without actually taking hose off of the engine. Our newest engine has hose trays, and came with a set of two for each line. The prop also doubles as a place to store clean hose so that if a preconnect line gets dirty on a fire, we can swap out that line in about a minute. It's normally just set on two small mover's dollies, but for training, we have heavy saw horses that it's set on that makes it the same height as the engine preconnects. Two ratchet straps are used to keep the whole thing from sliding, but it's pretty heavy anyway. To put it on the saw horses, the hose trays are removed to make it easier to lift. Four guys are used for safety to set it on the saw horses. The eye bolts on either side of the saw horses are where the ratchet straps are connected. The holes in the back of the hose prop are big enough to put a coupling through, to simulate the swivel fitting. The top also lifts off of the prop as well. I think it cost less than $225 to build, and it's really nice not to have to worry about having the hose off and getting a run.

I don't have so much time to read these types of useless topics because I am busy in https://blablawriting.com/essay-examples/immigration website which my client gave me to do some work about essay writing service on this website and I am searching for some help to do my task complete which is related to this website. Can I found some useful stuff here because I am getting bored after seeing this weird and useless topic?

Spam notwithstanding, our local instructors put together some simple trays for hose deployment drilss in the state classes. Nothing fancy - just two side-by-side trays so one can be reloaded while the other is being deployed by another group. Saves having to actually re-lay into the cross-lays on an apparatus each time, and they can use training hose instead of that of a department who has provided their apparatus for the night.
Opinions my own. Standard disclaimers apply.
