I usually keep my head and my PBI hood under my bucket. I'm not married, so I don't keep pictures or anything like that. I know guys that carry everything from pictures to extra toothpics to lucky charms.

Just keep my hood in my helmet. Some guys do pics and other write quotes or scripture on the underside of the brim.

pfr172, how do those guys keep the lucky charms from getting soggy - especially the marshmallows?
It's only my opinion. I do not speak for any group or organization I belong to or associate with or people I know - especially my employer. If you like it, we can share it, you don't have to give me credit. If you don't, we are allowed to disagree too (but be ready to be challenged, you may be on to something I'm not). That's what makes America great!

        Mongo,
It is actually pretty easy, just keep a bowl and a small carton of milk in your pocket, and when things start to heat up, just stop and enjoy a nice bowl of cereal.

Mongo, try dried milk... you already got the wet stuff to mix it with !
TWT - no, good for a first post. I keep leather gloves in my lid. My PBI hood is on my coat. I have been thinking about something both on my lid and in it, I'm still mulling it over.

I keep 4' of rolled up 3/8 tubing and a bandana in the top of my lid. Tubing is in case my SCBA fails I can place one end in the edge of my mask and the other to a partners mask and get fresh to gert out.( Thanks CLWFWFD) An old friend taught me that. And the bandana is for when it is time to go into mop-up. Place the bandana around the head and the lid back on and the sweet stays out of the eyes.

                              In or on the outside?

Outside, I carry a small light, a door chock, a search marker, and a small wooden cross hand-carved from olive trees in Jerusalem.

                              Oh, and goggles.
