  • What type of PPV fans do you use?

What brand PPV fans is everybody using out there? How many CFM? Gasoline powered or other? Can your PPV be set up and operated with one firefighter? Are you satisfied with your PPV? If not, why not?

There are a lot of things that are personal preference--Ford vs Chevy---Akron vs Elkhart (or TFT) -but generally they perform about the same---I found an exception on ppv fans, The "ventry" type in my opinion stands head and shoulders above the rest. But whatever brand you get, you cant go wrong with a Honda engine.

PPV Fan Testimonial - Thank you!

Hello! Rudedog, your very kind comment (below) from way back in 2001 was just brought to my attention and I wanted to say Thank You (even though I am 6 years late)! It always makes my day to hear from the fire fighters using the fans. Stay safe ~ Joan Neils, Marketing, J. Neils Enterprises, Inc. (OEM of VENTRY PPV Fans)

              And.............

Joan, I'm in the area just outside of Washington D.C. I've never heard of your Product. Is it marketed Nationally?? (Super Vac and RamFan are what we use)

And for some of you who use Fans, (Any Fan) Here's an excerpt from Harve's version of Ventilation 101. "Let's talk about PPV for a moment. Anyone here ever ask for a "PPV Fan"? (few hands go up) OK, you in the back, can you define a PPV Fan for us? (stuttering and stammering from the student) OK, Ladies and Gentlemen - ALL Fans CAN BE PPV Fans if used in the proper manner. Positive Pressure Ventilation is a type of tactic, not a piece of Machinery..............."
