DC's Newest Recruit

I just got the inside scoop on DC's newest recruit. I heard this person was about 6'4" and weighed about 400lbs, had hair that went down past his but and a beard that covered his entire neck. He say that he cant work out and get into shape because his mothers religion which he practiced when he was 15 says that a person can not do any physical agility improvements. He also has a bad back, a heart condition, and 2 bad knees but he had never had surgury to fix this cause a religion he tried when he was 19 said not to. He also has black lung dease and is a chronic smoker but thats only because he feels that if God didnt want people to smoke that he wouldnt put tobacco on the earth. He cant work on ladders or any thing past the first floor because a religion he was in when he turned 25 said that they needed to stay as close to the ground as possible. Oh and the religion he studied when he was 30 said that everyone should receive at least 8 full hours of sleep each night, so therefore he will not be able to make runs at night. Oh lets not forget the newest religion he joined on his 45th birthday, that says he must have long hair and a beard.

Hey im sure the judge wouldnt see any problem with this guy being a firefighter. I would say he has true leadership possiblities...LOL

That is good stuff Truckie...I too feel very angry about the Judge's ruling....we have laws stating that no religion of any kind not even praying before athletic events should not be allowed during school activities but we can let individuals use religion as an "excuse" when getting hired or even after the fact not to conform to a standard or a safety requirement.. I always thought we were a "Para- Military" org. Last time I was in the Navy we had rules about hair standards and we did not tolerate the Religion cop-out! give me a break...
