Always think before you talk as firefighters have a long memory and will bust your chops over a misstatement for years....

Always stay conscious at a brush fire or you'll never live it down.

Always remember that no matter how good a firefighter you are, there's someone who's better and more experienced.

Always check your equipment, or you'll be walking in to a burning building with 400 psi in your air bottle.

    Always remember - common sense - isn't.

Always check your boots, or you'll end up with wet feet....

Always look for new courses to take. Learning should never stop.

Always remember, we are all brothers, no matter where we are.

    Always Think Safety
Always tell your wife/husband you love them before you head for work on on a run
Always have two ways off a roof
Always question stupid unsafe idiotic orders that you know will get someone hurt
Always make sure the crew compartment doors are closed before leaving the station
Always remember your primary concern is to make it home after the run
Always remember you can't save everyone
Always remember we are not superman/superwoman, just normal human bewings doing an extraordinary task
Always remember it's a calling not a job
Always remember to pray on each call for strength, wisdom, safety, and for those we are responding to help

Always remeber, If you run into burning structures, as a career or volunteer, that you must have been dropped on your head as a child .

Always remember the rule of threes in EMS, 3am, 3rd floor, 300lb.

MOST IMPORTANT!!! Always remeber to have an escape plan with atleast 2 ways out, practice often, and if you hear your smoke alarm in the middle of the night, get up, get out, and please, please stay out. Going "in" is what we train hours and hours for.
