I want to personally thank Firehouse.com for doing the article on the Letona/ Zion truck donation and Helping Our Own. It was great the way they were so intent on doing a great article about this. They covered a lot of good points but it could take all week to hit them all. I hope this gets many more departments involved in donating their old/surplus equipment and gear to other needy depts. even if they dont go through an organization like Helping Our Own, and just get on the phone and find a needy dept in their area, help is needed all across the country. Too many depts are trying to fight fires with brush trucks and little or no protective equipment and gear. thanks again Firehouse.com for helping get the word out.
