New bicycle without seat!!

My department just recently bought new bicycle's for brush fires. They have side saddle water tanks over front and rear tires the whole bike can hold about 15 gallons of water. The problem is they came without seats just a metel pole. My question is will any seat work for this bike.

I think I saw LHS* riding one of those to a 1000 alarm brush fire in Nevada. Said he was on the committee that designed it and he likes it better without a seat.

If it is a regular bike there are only two styles of seats, just look at the post and go to bennys or some bike store and you will see what u need

Actually, the bike was spec'd that way. In the meeting when that was discussed by the powers that be, one of the old timers said, "They can stick that bike up my @$$, I ain't peddlin', that's why God himself made motorized fire apparatus".
