Keep it out of training fires. It will give you many more years of service just using it for the real deal.

Guest repliedIf you ever get it hot in any type of fire (training or the real thing) be prepared to paint it a few days later the paint will peel off in big flakes.

Guest repliedCairn's recommends frequent paint touch ups and wiping with mild soap and water to remove dirt and debris. I received a N6A Houston for christmas. Talked with Cairn's customer service and those were the recommendations. Hope that helps.
